The Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC/M23) has issued a sweeping call for national mobilization amid what it describes as a governance crisis. In a Monday afternoon communique, the group urged political and social forces across the country to join what it terms a constitutional struggle against the current government.
In the statement, AFC/M23 accused the administration of systematically undermining national institutions through state gangsterism and terrorism. The communique criticized the monopolization of national resources by a single family and condemned state-sponsored crimes and crimes against humanity as major obstacles to peace, stability, social cohesion, and national development.
The appeal specifically called on the Congolese diaspora and exiled political figures to return and take part in what the group described as a collective effort toward a patriotic liberation and national reconstruction.
Lawrence Kanyuka, the organization’s Communications Focal-Point, signed the document, which concluded with an urgent message: “Th future of the Congolese people depends on it. The communique also warned supporters to remain vigilant against fraudulent solicitations and fake news spread by the Kinshasa regime.
Kanyuka also provided an email: revolutionconstitutionnelle@gmail.com, for converted individuals to register and engage mobilizers.
