President Museveni expressed appreciation to the Chief of Defence Forces and all officers and men of the UPDF for what he described as their discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Uganda’s peace and sovereignty.

“I thank the CDF and all officers and men of the UPDF and commend them for their discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Uganda’s peace and sovereignty. Our stability is built on vigilance, unity, and patriotism,” Museveni said.

He emphasized that Uganda’s continued stability depends on sustained vigilance and cohesion within the security forces, as well as strong national unity.

The President also reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening defence capacity in line with broader national goals.

“We shall continue strengthening our defence capacity to ensure that Uganda remains secure and focused on social and economic transformation,” he added.

Uganda has in recent years prioritized modernization of its armed forces alongside investments in infrastructure and economic development, with officials frequently linking national security to long-term transformation objectives.
