The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Military Engineering Brigade has announced the launch of a nationwide recruitment campaign to enlist young Congolese technical professionals into its ranks.
According to an official communiqué signed by Brigadier Commander General-Major Danga Uzuda Bruno, the initiative seeks graduates in specialized fields such as Polytechnics, Electricity, Civil Construction, Urban Planning, Geology, Topography, Roads and Bridges, Hydrology, Electromechanics, and Architecture.
Final-year Humanities students with specializations in construction or electricity are also eligible.
The recruitment process will be highly competitive, with strict conditions for entry.
Candidates must be Congolese nationals aged between 18 and 35, pass medical and general physical aptitude tests, hold a clean criminal record, and demonstrate strong moral character. In addition, applicants must prove their ability to serve the nation under operational stress and succeed in the national competitive examination to be ranked in the order of merit.
The Military Engineering Brigade, a key unit of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), is responsible for delivering engineering support in both military and civilian contexts.
Its operations range from building and repairing strategic infrastructure to assisting in national development and emergency response.
Military officials state that this recruitment is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce the Brigade’s technical capabilities and ensure it remains prepared to meet both defense and development challenges.
