Kivutoday Investigative Desk reveals that the Congolese troops and allied forces have conducted a syndicated bombardment of areas under AFC/M23 rebela in Minembwe.
According to the rebel force spokesperson Lawrence Kanyuka (pictured above) the allied troops conducted coordinated strikes against the rebels and mostly the civilian population.
The strikes kicked off early Wednesday and were still being executed on Thursday.
“This Wednesday, September 30, at 7:30 a.m. and then at 9:40 a.m., the combined forces of the Kinshasa regime launched simultaneous attacks against Nyaruhinga, Point Zéro, and their surroundings in the Minembwe region,” Kanyuka said.
He added that the bombardment was “conducted with the aid of heavy artillery and drones, these offensives directly target civilian populations and further exacerbate the humanitarian crisis ”
