The AFC-M23 administration has installed new managers at several higher learning institutions in Goma as it moves to maintain the continuity of academic activities in areas under its control.
AFC-M23 Deputy Permanent Secretary Délion Kimbulungu on Monday conducted an official tour of major institutions in the city following recent appointments to their leadership.
Accompanied by the Cabinet Director of the Permanent Secretariat and the Vice-Governor of North Kivu, Kimbulungu visited ISTM Goma, ISTA Goma, ISP Goma and ISC Goma.
During the visits, the delegation formally installed the newly appointed managers and assessed the functioning of the institutions, with particular attention to the continuation of teaching and other academic activities.
The exercise forms part of AFC-M23’s efforts to oversee public institutions and maintain administrative and education services in territories under its control in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
